Job summary

InterContinental Residences Abu Dhabi, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, seeks a Demi Chef de Partie to join its luxury culinary team. You will support the Chef de Partie and senior staff in daily kitchen operations, preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to exacting quality, hygiene and safety standards.

In this role you will perform mise en place, monitor ingredient freshness, maintain consistent quality across service, and guide junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Proven culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with focus on quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Good organizational and time-management skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to approved recipes, portion specs, and presentation standards.
• Support Chef de Partie and senior team in daily kitchen operations.
• Complete mise en place and ensure section ready before each service.
• Check freshness and quality of ingredients; monitor stock levels and communicate shortages.
• Maintain HACCP, hygiene, and safety standards; ensure proper labeling and FIFO storage.
• Assist and guide junior colleagues and coordinate with other kitchen sections for smooth service.
