Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join our Employee Restaurant team, preparing meals for colleagues and maintaining high kitchen standards.

You will assist the Sous Chef, manage mise en place, ensure food safety and hygiene, and guide junior culinary staff while delivering consistent quality in a busy, high-volume environment with flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or vocational qualification in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or staff cafeteria is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen and support the team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to develop the team.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking meals according to established recipes and daily production plans.
• Supporting the Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef with the smooth running of the Employee Restaurant kitchen.
• Ensuring mise en place is ready according to daily meal requirements.
• Checking the quality, storage and handling of ingredients.
• Maintaining consistent food quality, portioning and presentation.
• Following proper stock rotation and helping reduce food waste.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Keeping workstation, equipment and assigned section clean and organised.
• Supporting other sections of the kitchen whenever required.
• Guiding junior culinary colleagues and working together as one team.
