About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef De Partie to join the Culinary team in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Take orders from the Chef de Partie and carry them out in the correct manner. Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks. Manage daily requisitions, kitchen transfers, and stock rotation, ensuring accurate documentation and approvals.
  • Ensure high standards in food preparation while staying updated on new products, recipes, and techniques. Maintain portion size, quantity, and quality as specified in the recipe index to ensure consistency.
  • Oversee mise-en-place production and service, coordinating shift organization with the Chef de Partie.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team, attending daily meetings, sharing information, and supporting operations.
  • Maintain positive working relationships, support staff training, report equipment issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible roles, ideally within the luxury hospitality industry.
  • Expert in menu development, pricing, production, and delivery skills.
  • Expert in food quality and presentation skills.
