Responsibilities
- Oversee daily preparation and presentation of cold kitchen items, including salads, appetizers, and other chilled dishes, ensuring top-notch quality and consistency.
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in designing creative and visually appealing cold menu items, adhering to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring the cold kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
- Support and mentor junior team members, guiding them to develop their skills and maintain high standards.
- Monitor stock levels for cold kitchen ingredients and ensure proper storage to maintain freshness and quality.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cold kitchen or similar role in a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of cold food preparation, plating techniques, and food safety practices.
- Creative flair and attention to detail, with a passion for crafting dishes that are as visually appealing as they are delicious.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.
