Role Overview

To function as a Demi Chef De Partie for the Calo Kitchen, working alongside the Chef De Partie to manage daily kitchen activities, oversee staff, assist with menu preparation, ensure food quality and freshness, and monitor ordering and stock levels. The successful candidate will employ their culinary and managerial skills to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.

Relationships and Working Expectations
  • Provides supervision and direction to kitchen personnel.
Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, meeting quality standards.
  • Assist the head chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
  • Resolve issues resourcefully and manage problematic situations.
  • Manage and train kitchen staff, establish work schedules, and evaluate performance.
  • Clearly communicate tasks to team members.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory.
  • Enforce sanitation and safety standards.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers.
  • Produce high-quality dishes in both presentation and taste.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as Commi 1 or DCDP.
  • 5 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry.
  • Currently based in UAE.
  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus.
Knowledge and Competency

  • Strong kitchen management skills.
  • Ability to delegate responsibilities and monitor progress.
