OUR EXPECTATIONS FROM THE ROLE:

  • Proper setup of station for each service period and timely mise en place.
  • Monitor stock and be responsible for ordering within your section.
  • Active communication within the department.
  • Prepare food according to recipes provided by the Sous Chef / Chef de Cuisine.
  • Report any food quality issues to the CDP / Sous Chef.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and communicate with team members.
  • Flexibility to work in other areas and participate in cross-training.
  • Assist in training junior chefs and apprentices.
  • Implement new menus, dishes, and regulations as directed by supervisors.
  • Minimize overproduction and food waste to control costs.
  • Report maintenance issues and food safety concerns immediately.
  • Assume responsibilities of the Chef de Partie if needed.
  • Follow environmental policies and sanitation standards.
  • Proper storage, FIFO, temperature control, and labeling of food items.
  • Ensure all standards and procedures are followed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen.
  • Overtime to be approved as per business needs.
  • Adhere to grooming and personal standards.

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare special meals, regulate oven temperatures, ensure proper portioning and garnishing, maintain logs, monitor food quality, communicate needs during busy periods, and assist in menu planning and food preparation.
