WE ARE on the lookout for a REDtabulous Demi Chef De Partie to join the amazing Jones The Grocer team here at Radisson RED

What are we looking for

  • Support CDP/Sous Chef to ensure BOH is run to the specified service levels. Understand and learn specials for the respective section, including menu changes according to recipes and standards. Ensure all standards are maintained always.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage the commis to assist them in training, developing, motivating, and evaluating all staff to ensure high standards at all times.
  • Understand specials for their section in implementation and menu changes according to recipes and standards. Facilitate training for new items and ensure standards are maintained.
  • Assist the CDP in ordering supplies to ensure sufficient stock for daily operations, including special events and seasonal variances. Ensure correct receipt of products according to guidelines and monitor goods received against orders.
  • Have a basic understanding of operational costs management of the BOH, including manpower, food cost, and other expenditures.
  • Ensure all mise en place lists and handovers are completed on time for the next shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and section areas as per JTG specifications, adhering to government and regulatory requirements in food safety, hygiene, and equipment maintenance. Follow internal HSSE programs to exceed standards.
  • Support CDP/Sous Chef to ensure BOH runs to the specified service levels.

Qualifications:

  • Kitchen background / relevant qualification

Professional / Legal Skills:

  • Catering qualification from Catering / Hospitality School

Communication Skills:

  • Well versed in English

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years as a commis I or kitchen helper in similar organizations

Computer Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of MS Office and Email essential
