Role Purpose
The Demi Chef de Partie will assist the Chef de Partie in managing a specific section of the kitchen, preparing and presenting dishes to RIKAS standards. This role is based in Ras Al Khaimah and is ideal for someone eager to grow in a fast-paced, luxury culinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Food Preparation & Cooking – Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes for your assigned section. Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain consistent quality. Support the Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and special events.
- Operational Duties – Maintain mise en place and ensure readiness for each service. Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in inventory management. Keep your workstation, kitchen tools, and equipment clean and organized. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Standards & Compliance – Maintain hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times. Follow RIKAS Group’s kitchen SOPs and safety regulations. Uphold grooming and professional behavior in line with company culture. Support junior kitchen staff (Commis Chefs) with guidance and training.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a premium or fine-dining restaurant (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Passion for food, creativity, and willingness to learn and grow.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Must be available to join immediately in Ras Al Khaimah.
