Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily last-mile delivery operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries to customers, GMG outlets, and business accounts.
• Manage drivers and delivery helpers by coordinating schedules, attendance, route assignments, performance follow-up, and policy compliance.
• Plan daily routes, vehicle allocation, manpower deployment, and delivery resources to improve service levels and reduce operational delays.
• Monitor fleet utilization, vehicle availability, documentation, maintenance status, cleanliness, and readiness before daily delivery movement.
• Review delivery exceptions, missed deliveries, route delays, customer complaints, vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and driver-reported incidents.
• Escalate operational risks and coordinate corrective actions to keep delivery performance stable during high-volume or urgent distribution periods.
• Ensure delivery activities comply with UAE transportation rules, company procedures, food safety standards, cold-chain requirements, temperature‑controlled delivery practices, and permit regulations.
• Use Logistics Management Systems and Transport Management Systems to monitor delivery movement, track orders, review route status, and support performance improvement.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to align dispatch readiness, loading schedules, stock movement, delivery sequencing, and documentation requirements.
• Work closely with sales, customer service, and accounts teams to resolve delivery escalations, customer issues, credit‑related concerns, and proof‑of‑delivery follow‑ups.
• Monitor delivery KPIs including on‑time delivery, route efficiency, fleet utilization, failed deliveries, delivery accuracy, driver productivity, and incident trends.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports with clear updates on delivery performance, route issues, manpower status, and improvement actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring delivery gaps, process delays, route inefficiencies, and service‑level risks.
• Maintain proper delivery records, vehicle documents, incident logs, temperature records where applicable, and operational evidence for review.
• Guide delivery teams on safe driving practices, customer handling, product care, hygiene standards, and company delivery expectations.
• Remain flexible to support urgent operational requirements, extended schedules, peak delivery periods, and business‑critical distribution needs.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, fleet operations, or last‑mile delivery management.
• Previous experience supervising drivers, delivery helpers, routes, vehicles, and daily distribution activity.
• Experience in FMCG, food distribution, retail logistics, pharmaceutical logistics, or temperature‑controlled delivery operations is preferred.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of last‑mile delivery operations, fleet management, route optimization, delivery documentation, and distribution control.
• Good knowledge of UAE road networks, delivery zones, transportation regulations, and local distribution practices.
• Familiarity with food safety, cold‑chain handling, temperature‑controlled delivery, permit requirements, and product movement standards.
• Able to use Logistics Management Systems, Transport Management Systems, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office applications for monitoring and reporting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage delivery teams and coordinate with multiple departments.
• Practical problem‑solving ability for delivery delays, vehicle issues, customer escalations, route changes, and operational emergencies.
