Job description

THE POSITION

As a Deck Engineer, you are responsible for maintaining and operating critical equipment on board the vessel. You will work in close cooperation with Pilots, the Day Engineer, and Superintendents to ensure the optimal performance of the Fallpipe and ROV systems. Your role includes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you ensure the reliability and efficiency of key vessel equipment. You will be actively involved in repairs, modifications, and optimizations while supervising a small team during repair and docking periods. Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining the vessel’s technical administration and ensuring a safe working environment on board.

  • Launch and recover the ROV and special tools in coordination with the Pilot.
  • Launch and recover Fallpipe equipment together with the Superintendent and Pilots.
  • Maintain an efficient spare parts stock using the STAR maintenance system.
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of Fallpipe and Tower equipment.
  • Assist with deck crane operations and general maintenance of the Tower area.
