Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and academic direction to all departments and programs within the College of Medicine.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and postgraduate medical programs.
  • Promote excellence in teaching, research, and clinical training in alignment with accreditation and regulatory requirements (e.g., CAA, WFME, ACGME-I).
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration and partnerships with healthcare institutions, research centers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Attract, retain, and develop high-caliber faculty and staff through effective talent management.
  • Ensure compliance with academic standards, ethical practices, and institutional policies.
  • Drive innovation in medical education, curriculum design, assessment, and simulation-based learning.
  • Support accreditation processes, quality assurance initiatives, and institutional benchmarking.
  • Act as a key liaison with university leadership, healthcare partners, and international collaborators.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with PhD or equivalent in a Medical field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of academic and clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Associate Dean or Dean).
  • Proven track record of academic leadership, curriculum development, and scholarly achievements.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trends and best practices in medical education.
  • Experience with accreditation processes (e.g., LCME, WFME, CAA) and quality management in higher education.
