Job summary

Department of Economy and Tourism seeks a Database Administrator, Infrastructure & Disaster Recovery to manage enterprise databases across on‑premises and cloud environments, ensuring availability, performance and recoverability. You will oversee backups, DR testing, and security configurations while coordinating with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to maintain resilient services.

The role requires 5+ years of hands‑on DB experience with SQL Server and Oracle, plus exposure to MySQL,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant database administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and other DB platforms.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, patch and upgrade enterprise database platforms across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor availability, performance, workload and storage growth; investigate bottlenecks.
• Configure and maintain backup, restoration and recovery processes; validate recoverability.
• Maintain high availability, replication and disaster-recovery arrangements; participate in tests.
• Apply database security standards and manage users, roles and access controls.
