Overview

As a Data Scientist within the CRM & Loyalty team, you’ll transform customer and operational data into powerful strategies that elevate how we engage, retain, and grow our customer base. You will own and champion measurement and advanced analytics, uncovering patterns that drive smarter decisions and tangible results.


This is a high-impact role where your insights will directly influence key decisions, fuel loyalty innovation, and shape the customer journey across our e-commerce platform, mobile app, retail stores and B2B accounts. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to address strategic challenges in retail operations, pricing & promotions, category strategy, and B2B performance — solving high-value business problems with data. By combining statistical modelling, machine learning, and domain knowledge, you will provide deep, actionable insights that empower the business to anticipate customer needs, design personalized experiences, and strengthen our position as the region’s leading master franchise of a global coffee brand.



Key Accountabilities


  • Build and evolve customer data architecture to support advanced analytics, segmentation, and campaign personalization across CRM and loyalty ecosystems.

  • Develop predictive models and analytical frameworks to forecast customer behavior, optimize program performance, and drive data-informed decision-making.

  • Transform complex data into actionable insights, delivering clear recommendations that improve targeting, retention, and lifetime value.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., BI, marketing, e-commerce, retail, category) to align data science efforts with strategic business goals.

  • Continuously explore new tools and trends in data science to maintain technical excellence and deliver innovative customer solutions.

  • Perform statistical analysis and / or data mining methods to discover patterns and relations in data to answer business questions.



Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in data analytics.

  • Proficient in SQL and Python / R, using them to solve real business problems.

  • Strong understanding of customer behaviour and drivers of retention, loyalty, and value.

  • Skilled at simplifying complex concepts and collaborating with marketing, e-commerce, and BI teams.

  • Knowledge in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau or Looker

  • Possess segmentation, uplift modelling, and campaign design enthusiasm.

  • Experience in consuming APIs and automating processes with APIs

  • Experience in retail business / e-commerce
