Synopsis
In this role as Data Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of numerous Operations reports and dashboards, ensuring continuous availability and high quality of all business and executive reports, datasets and dashboards. you work closely with your counterparts in IT to measure and implement robust data quality standards and processes. Translate business requests into technical requirements for the enhancement of existing datasets, or the ingestion of new datasets. Responsible for the governance of all operational datasets and ensure PII is managed as per corporate policy and guidelines. Responsible for conducting User Acceptable Testing (UAT) on all tables created by the IT department, ensuring the data is fit for business purposes.
Accountabilities
- Monitor the quality of 250+ reports and Power BI dashboards managed by the Ops Analytics department.
- Monitor the quality of the underlying datasets used by the various Ops Analytics verticals.
- Support the development and implement data quality standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and rectify data issues.
- Monitor data quality metrics and report on data quality performance.
- Perform data cleansing activities to remove duplicates, correct errors, and ensure data consistency, validate data against established standards and business rules. Collaborate with data owners to resolve data quality issues.
- Identify opportunities for data quality improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain data quality improvement plans.
- Communicate and present dataset quality metrics to relevant stakeholders.
- In partnership with DTI, build and maintain RDAs for the Ops Analytics department.
- Share knowledge with the rest of the ops analytics team to upskill existing team members on data quality and data governance.
- Work closely with the Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team within DTI
- Manage user acceptance testing (UAT) and roll-out of new systems and upgrades of the existing ones to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without any severe defects or bugs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is minimum educational requirement.
- Min 4 years of relevant experience implementing and maintaining data.
- Experience using programming languages such as SQL or Python, and cloud-based data warehouse (Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake etc.).
- Experience building and deploying RDAs across the business.
- Experience using GitHub or similar tools for code management.
- Experience within the aviation/travel industry in the operational areas is preferred.
- Desirable: experience in digital or analytics-related roles in the airline industry.
