تابى is seeking a Data Protection Intern to support the Privacy Office in staying compliant with UAE data protection laws. You will gain hands-on experience with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and contribute to data inventories, DPIAs, and privacy policies.

You will work with the Enterprise Risk team in the UAE location, reporting to uday barot. The internship offers exposure to regulatory changes and collaboration with business teams on data maps and processing activities.

• Pursuing or recent graduate in a relevant field.
• Interest in data protection and understanding of UAE privacy regimes.

• Assist with DPIAs and privacy reviews.

Data Protection Intern

Data Protection Intern supports the Privacy Office in keeping the company compliant with UAE data protection laws.
The role gives hands-on exposure to the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain our data inventory and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), including data categories, purposes, legal bases and retention periods.
• Assist with DPIAs and privacy reviews
• Update data privacy policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and business needs.
• Help track regulatory updates.
• Update data maps and data flow inventories with business teams.

Requirements

• Pursuing or Recent graduate in Law, Information Security, Business or a related field.
• Genuine interest in data protection and basic knowledge of Middle East data privacy laws, particularly the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
• Clear written English, strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information.
• Nice to have familiarity with UAE PDPL and progress toward CIPP/E or CIPM
