Job Description

Looking to fill a vacant position for any suitable candidate with expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Must possess cartographic skills and have an ability to create Land Survey Drawings, topographic maps, profile drawings, alignment sheets, and contouring.

Basic Functions

  • Review and quality control of field data and coordination with the field.

  • Process raw field data to project deliverables/drawings with ACAD Civil 3D.

  • Data management, storage, filing, reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adjustment of survey observations.

  • CADD production for survey projects e.g. plan/profile alignments sheets, etc.

  • Quality assurance of survey data.

  • Maintenance of survey databases.

  • Maintenance of survey data on computers within the department and archiving of data.

  • Maintain and update all survey software as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in land survey or topographical science related field of study.

Skills / Experience required

  • Experience in data processing for land and topographical surveys.

  • Extensive experience required in AutoCAD Civil 3D as a minimum.

  • Experience in data processing techniques e.g. Leica LGO, CADD packages and familiarity with routines to transform between the two data sets.

  • Oil and gas experience preferred.

  • Minimum 5 years related land surveying experience.

  • Office-based data processing of field survey observations (GPS, Levelling, etc.).
