Job description

Overview of the role: AFET is a leader in converged systems integration and provides complete business solutions to large, medium, and small customers. These solutions include networking, IP telephony, infrastructure, contact center solutions, business applications, ELV systems, professional audiovisual solutions, and managed services.

Data Network Engineer is required to provide support services to AFET's AMC customers and onsite. This position operates within the context of Data Network Infrastructure, WiFi, and Security Solutions. The candidate must be trained and certified on various solutions from Alcatel Lucent Enterprise, CISCO, Fortinet, HP, or similar. The engineer will be part of the technical support team and must have excellent hands-on experience to perform the job.

What you will do

1. Impart postsales technical support as per SLA signed with customers
2. Implementation of Data Network and ICT solutions in coordination with customers, principals, service providers, and business partners to ensure implementation meets design parameters
3. Monitoring and maintaining enterprise-level network hardware and applications at customer premises
4. Advanced diagnostics and monitoring of Data Network Infrastructure Solutions
5. Monitoring network performance to ensure system availability and reliability
6. Configuring and installing routers, Aruba, Cisco wireless controllers, switches, firewalls, load balancers
7. Performing network maintenance and upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
8. Incident management and break-fix activities, including determining means to restore systems, coordinating repairs, and maintaining system knowledge
9. Attending service requests and preventive maintenance
10. Performing change management activities
11. Ensuring project timelines are met within scope, cost, and quality
12. Training customers on system usage
13. Prioritizing workload to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
