Job summary

Sundus in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior data governance leader to design, implement, and operationalize enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models. You will drive dataset inventory, data catalog initiatives, and data quality rule definition while balancing business and technical needs.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy, with hands-on experience across governance tooling and catalog implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data management, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, and or enterprise data strategy.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing and operationalizing enterprise data governance frameworks and operating models.
• Hands-on experience in dataset inventory, data catalog implementation, data classification, and data quality rule definition.
• Experience working with data governance and catalog tools (e.g., Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview or similar).
• Has experience ensuring governance is applied and enforced within systems and processes.
• Can balance business, governance, and technical requirements.
