About the role

We are seeking a talented attorney to lead on corporate, intellectual property, and governance matters in the MENA region. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will handle corporate compliance, regulatory issues, contract negotiations, IP advisement, governance activities, statutory filings specific to the Indian jurisdiction, and ensure compliance with Indian laws related to labor, data protection, and relevant regulations. You will play a key role in our legal team, supporting internal business units and building strong relationships across the organization.

You’ll be responsible for

  1. Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on matters related to the MENA region, including compliance, regulatory issues, and local business practices.
  2. Contract Negotiation and Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, focusing on software licenses, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts.
  3. Intellectual Property: Advise on IP issues, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks.
  4. Corporate Governance: Support governance activities and corporate filings in the MENA region.
  5. Risk Management: Identify and manage legal risks across different functions and geographies, especially in MENA.
  6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local laws and regulations, including data protection, consumer rights, and employment laws.
  7. Team Collaboration: Guide legal staff on MENA-related matters and oversee external counsel relationships.
  8. Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with various departments to address legal needs and concerns.

Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Law degree from an accredited institution
  • 7-9 years of relevant legal experience, focusing on the MENA region
