The Data Engineer will deliver world-class big data solutions and impact the dubizzle business. Responsibilities include managing the entire data lifecycle—from raw data integration with primary and third-party systems, to advanced data modeling, and developing innovative data products.

You will work with batch and real-time data processing pipelines in a modern cloud-based environment, collaborating with teams across product, tech, business verticals, and more to enable their success.

In this role, you will:

• Integrate raw data from various systems
• Model data warehouses for operational and application data
• Develop in Amazon Redshift
• Engage in SQL development within an agile team
• Design and implement ETL processes in Matillion
• Create real-time data pipelines using AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, API Gateway
• Design data products for business solutions
• Ensure data quality, system stability, security, and coding standards
• Build data dashboards and visualizations focusing on UX and usability
• Collaborate with other departments on data products
• Contribute to a strong team culture and stay on the cutting edge of big data
• Work independently on complex projects
• Participate in ETL status checks

Requirements

Qualification:

Top-tier degree in computer science, engineering, math, physics

Experience:

Over 3 years working with customer-centric big data, preferably in e-commerce

At least 2 years programming experience, especially in Python

Proven record in business intelligence, data warehousing, and modeling

Experience with ETL tools like Matillion is a plus

Experience with AWS or other cloud data ecosystems

Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.

Knowledge:

Knowledge of real-time data pipelines using serverless frameworks like Lambda and Kinesis

Understanding of relational and dimensional data models

Familiarity with Linux workflows

Skills:

Exceptional SQL skills across cloud data warehousing technologies

Ability to communicate insights to non-technical audiences

Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
