Job summary

Qualifications

Job Title: -Data Analytics Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics Engineer with advanced technical data expertise who will build and maintain reusable advanced Data Products in alignment with Group best practices and guidelines. The Data Analytics Engineer is accountable for the technical reliability of their data flows and products. They will support Business Insights Owners by implementing access rules, making the data product available for sharing, or completing the technical documentation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable requirements for data product development.

• Develop and maintain business-ready data products for analytics purposes using collaborative tools such as dbt.

• Leverage analytics platforms available within the Group such as Google Looker to build data visualization solutions and get actionable insights.

• Oversee the delivery process, from defining project requirements, setting up the right tools and foundations and up-skilling the end users to ensure full ownership of the developed solution.

• Maintain the related documentation, materials & data definitions.

• Set up monitoring tools to evaluate adoption, performance, and issues of final products.

• Cooperate with the support teams to ensure data consistency, data accuracy, and performance of the delivered flows.

• Act as an active promotor of data culture and awareness through ongoing training, learning materials and support.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in analytics and/or data engineering, ideally in an international context.

• Ability to translate business needs/constraints into technical terms.

• Proficiency in SQL programming and developing data models.

• Experienced with cloud data warehouses (GCP - BigQuery a must)

• Strong knowledge in analytics concepts, tools, and methodologies.

• Solid knowledge of Looker (LookML)

• Solid knowledge of data transformation tools such as dbt.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

• Ability to manage multiple domains and projects simultaneously.

• Experience working in a global organization.

• Experience of working in MEIA IT markets is a strong plus.

• Fluent written and spoken English is a must, Arabic a plus.
