Synopsis

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Platform Engineer with a strong background in building scalable data pipelines, integrating modern data technologies, and supporting advanced analytics use cases. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who is passionate about designing, developing, and optimizing robust data architectures that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists to support and enhance our data platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and reliable data flow across multiple systems and products, enabling high-quality data availability for analytical and operational purposes.

You will also play a key role in monitoring, maintaining, and evolving our analytical infrastructure, ensuring that systems run smoothly and efficiently in production. Accountabilities

1. Evaluate business needs and objectives
2. Identify opportunities for data acquisition
3. Analyze and organize raw data
4. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, interpret trends and patterns, build algorithms and prototypes
5. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements
6. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, redesigning infrastructure for scalability
7. Build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources using SQL and big data technologies
8. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and key business metrics

Education & Experience

• 3-8 years of experience in a Data Engineer role, with a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or related quantitative fields
• Technical expertise in data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Strong analytical skills working with unstructured datasets
• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases and query writing
• Experience performing root cause analysis to answer business questions and identify improvements
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Basic understanding of UNIX shell scripting and database SQL
• Experience supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
