Amazon AWS is hiring a Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer to join our expanding Data Centers (DC) Cloud regions. You will work hands‑on with electrical and mechanical infrastructure, ensuring safe, reliable operation and rapid response to issues across critical facility systems.

The role emphasizes safety, efficient maintenance, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to keep uptime high and costs under control. On‑site shifts and on‑call rotation are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (required).
• Knowledge of electrical competencies and theory.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, controls, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow the highest safety standards and foster a world‑class safety culture.
• Support electrical and mechanical equipment such as UPS, switchgear, ATS, generators, chillers, HVAC, and transformers.
• Operate and maintain data center mechanical/electrical systems and respond to events within SLAs.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Drive cost efficiency and operational excellence in facility operations.
