Note: This position requires on-site work at the client’s office in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and relocation is necessary.

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect / Principal Data Engineer with expertise in Databricks and Azure to join our team. The project involves building a new data platform for our client in the UAE.

Responsibilities include:

1. Participating in a greenfield project to build a new data platform in the finance sector.
2. Designing data structures, formats, and standards.
3. Standardizing data integration approaches from various sources.
4. Collaborating closely with other data architects and technical teams.
5. Working within an Azure / Databricks environment across multiple technological streams.
6. Working 100% on-site in Abu Dhabi as part of an international team from Europe and India.

Job requirements:

1. Availability to start within 6 weeks.
2. Minimum of 5 years in data architecture.
3. Proficiency in Python and SQL.
4. Knowledge of tools and practices for processing large volumes of data.
5. Proven experience with Databricks.
6. Strong background in Azure cloud infrastructure.
7. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
8. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with proficiency in communicating with non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have: Knowledge of Collibra is a plus.
