Job purpose:

Assist P&C CL RO Heads and other stakeholders in the preparation of data for monitoring of portfolio performance and recommend solutions to improve monitoring.

Assist in pricing tasks, from data gathering to model preparation, liaising with other departments where necessary to ensure accurate and complete data.

Provide accurate and complete MI to various stakeholders, including Finance, Reinsurance and Compliance Teams where required on a regular or Ad-hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, cleanse and prepare data required for analysis and reporting activities
  • Reconcile data between various systems and reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Maintain pricing modules and underwriting rules in various systems
  • Support the forecasting process
  • Support where necessary on pricing activities
  • Contribute to the development of new pricing approaches and techniques
  • Strive continuously for improvements to enable tasks to be performed in a more efficient manner
  • Produce all periodic reports for reporting quarterly financial results
  • Produce ad hoc reports as requested

Minimum requirements of role

Essential:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst role within Property & Casualty is required.
  • SAS/WPS/SQL coding proficiency
  • Proficient skills in MS Office suite
  • Good communication skills (Written and Oral)

Desirable:

  • Degree in Actuarial Science or Data Analytics would be an asset

  • PYTHON/R knowledge
