Job description

About the Role:

You will be responsible for utilizing your data analysis skills to optimize our cost estimation processes and ensure project financial feasibility. You will work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and engineers to gather and analyze project data, identify cost trends and risks, and develop accurate cost models.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including project documents, historical cost data, and market research reports.
  • Develop and implement data analysis techniques to assess project costs, identify cost drivers, and generate insightful reports.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex cost information in clear and concise formats.
  • Conduct cost trend analysis and identify potential cost risks associated with projects.
  • Support the development and maintenance of cost estimation models and databases.
  • Collaborate with project managers and quantity surveyors to ensure data accuracy and align cost estimates with project requirements.
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices and new technologies related to cost estimation and data analysis.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively present complex data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practices (preferred).
  • Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
