Job Description

• Analyse and interpret complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and generate analytical reports, dashboards, and KPIs using visualization tools.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to collect data and define reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
• Acquire data from primary and secondary sources and maintain data integrity across systems.
• Clean, filter, and validate data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Structure and synchronize data across various systems and databases.
• Use graphs, infographics, and other visualization methods to present analytical findings.
• Prepare and compile reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to support business functions.
• Work with leadership to prioritize business needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation through data analysis.
• Support ongoing initiatives and perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Analytical & Statistical Skills:
• Strong mathematical, statistical, and numeracy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable business insights.
• Familiarity with statistical methods and techniques for trend analysis and forecasting.
• Domain Experience:
• Relevant experience in Retail and Supply Chain with a strong background in data analysis or business intelligence.
• Business Intelligence Lifecycle:
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience across the complete BI lifecycle—from data acquisition and modelling to reporting and decision support.
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and handling large-scale data operations.
• Proficiency in metadata management, data modelling techniques, and performance tuning.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proficient in SQL Server, T-SQL, DAX functions and DAX queries.
• Strong command over using different types of Joins, Sub-queries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs) , and Window Functions such as ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), PARTITION BY, etc.
• Skilled in creating and managing Views, User-Defined Functions (UDFs), and Stored Procedures to encapsulate business logic and improve query efficiency.
• Experience in query performance tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting slow-running queries.
• Working knowledge of SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
• Experience in building dashboards and interactive reports using tools like Power BI and Paginated Reports.
• Experience in the Power BI Live Connection ecosystem, including creating real-time dashboards and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, Power Pivot, formulas, data analysis functions and conditional formatting.
• Proficient in Python programming languages and Machine learning algorithms.
