Job summary

Al Mashhad is seeking a CyberSecurity Engineer to join the Technology Team in Dubai. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security architecture across IT and Broadcast infrastructure. You will manage endpoint protection, vulnerability programs, and SIEM solutions in a 24-hour news environment.

The role requires deep experience with Fortinet Firewalls and EDR/SIEM platforms, and a strong background in security governance and incident response.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing security architectures for IT and broadcast environments.
• Proven ability to manage endpoint protection, vulnerability programs, and SIEM tooling.
• Strong knowledge of Fortinet, TrendMicro, Symantec, Defender suites, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage and support security technologies including firewalls, EDR, PAM, DLP, and email security solutions.
• Lead vulnerability management, risk assessments, and security reviews of IT and Broadcast systems.
• Coordinate remediation activities and drive internal/external audits.

Job Description

Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking a CyberSecurity Engineer to join our existing Technology Team in the Headquarter located in Dubai, UAE. The CyberSecurity Engineer is responsible for the support of the IT desktop infrastructure across TV Channel. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architecture across the organization's IT and Broadcast infrastructure. You will act as the frontline defence, managing endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and SIEM solutions. You will be working in a highly pressured 24-hour news environment where the requirements and level of support will be varied and challenging.

Requirements

• Network Security: Proven experience administering and managing Fortinet Firewalls.
• Endpoint Protection: Deep knowledge of Endpoint Anti-Malware and EDR solutions, specifically TrendMicro, Symantec, and Microsoft Defender.
• Vulnerability Management: Hands-on experience executing and managing vulnerability programs using tools like Rapid7 or Tenable Nessus.
• SIEM Administration: Strong proficiency in monitoring, configuring, and managing SIEM platforms such as Wazuh and Splunk.
• System Knowledge: Understanding of both standard Enterprise IT environments and Broadcast systems architecture.

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:

• Core Security: ISC2 CISSP or CC (Certified in Cybersecurity), or CompTIA Security+.
• Network/Firewall: Fortinet NSE 4 or higher (Network Security Expert).
• Operations/Analyst: CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), or Splunk Core Certified Power User / SIEM specific training.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.

Key Accountabilities

The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:

• Security Strategy & Governance: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
• Infrastructure Management: Manage and support critical security technologies, including firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and email security solutions.
• Vulnerability & Risk Management: Lead enterprise vulnerability management and security posture assessments. Conduct regular vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and security reviews of both IT and specialized Broadcast systems.
• Remediation & Compliance: Coordinate and heavily track the remediation of identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps. Coordinate internal and external audits, driving all necessary remediation activities.
• Threat Intelligence & Hunting: Conduct proactive threat hunting and analyze emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and vulnerabilities. Continuously research and stay up to date on current security threats relevant to our information systems.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor security events, alerts, and incidents using advanced security monitoring tools (SIEM, EDR, FW). Take full ownership of handling and resolving all Security Incidents.
