Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and respond to security events and incidents using established processes, creating processes and procedures where none are already established.
  2. Enforce security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles.
  3. Monitor security events in the SIEM and other security feeds, taking appropriate actions based on company security policies.
  4. Support internal investigations through e-discovery, forensics, and other techniques.
  5. Conduct root cause analysis to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  6. Stay current with new developments in the security industry, including alerts, bugs, vulnerabilities, and viruses.
  7. Promote a culture of excellence, integrity, and professionalism.
  8. Review threat analysis activities performed by staff to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Incident Management

  1. Monitor and respond to security events and incidents.
  2. Enforce security policies and monitor security profiles.
  3. Monitor security feeds and respond accordingly.
  4. Support investigations and forensic activities.
  5. Perform root cause analysis and recommend improvements.
  6. Keep updated with industry security developments.
  7. Foster a culture of professionalism and integrity.
  8. Review threat analysis activities for trends and improvements.

VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing)

  1. Plan and execute penetration tests on networks, web applications, and systems.
  2. Develop testing strategies and methodologies.
  3. Analyze results and prepare reports with remediation recommendations.
  4. Collaborate with IT and development teams to address vulnerabilities.
