Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Customer Service and Sales Advisor.
The position:
The overall purpose of the role is to ensure excellent customer service experience and grow sales.
To build strong and sustainable relationships with customers and act as a trustworthy advisor, delivering excellent customer service. To be the customer’s key point of contact in WSS Customer Service, adding value and advising them on which products to buy, why, when, and where.
Required experience and skills:
Relevant education and/or relevant work experience
Fluent in English, both in writing and speaking
Interest/experience in the shipping industry and marine products
Customer-focused with the ability to understand and react/adapt to customer needs, and with the ability to turn opportunities into sales growth.
Excellent interaction, networking, and communication skills: establishing good relationships with customers and colleagues
Solid commercial understanding and sales skills, with a professional and proactive attitude
Growth mindset: having a can-do attitude, looking for solutions to challenges.
Quickly adapts to changing circumstances, accepts new ideas and change initiatives
Curious and enthusiastic to learn and develop, and able to put learning into practice.
Eager to share knowledge to increase team competence.
Good analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to act on data-driven insights.
Proficiency with digital tools (digital interest and savviness).
Excellent organizing and execution skills: delivering quality customer sales and service by planning ahead, working systematically, following directions and procedures, and focusing on customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities:
Work closely with customers, understanding and supporting decision-makers' needs, and being their main contact in Customer Service.
Keep customers informed of changes in order delivery status, surcharges, and other relevant information.
Ensure timely and accurate order management, keeping customers updated and proactively managing potential issues.
Proactively identify, plan, and follow up on open quotes to convert them into orders.
Utilize tools and knowledge about the customer to leverage insights, adding value and increasing sales growth.
Follow up on quotes and other contacts to capture leads in cooperation with Sales.
Actively promote sales campaigns, promotions, and initiatives to customers.
Process high-value and pre-defined inquiries and orders as per global processes and targets.
Support Sales in preparing Business Reviews, providing operational insights, and explaining insights directly to customers when appropriate.
Collaborate across functions to fulfill customer needs efficiently.
Visit customers in collaboration with Sales (KAMs, TSMs, and TSBs).
