Job description

The Customer Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for growing Raytheon’s business in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and representing Raytheon’s portfolio of products and services to the UAE customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Requirements & Capabilities (R&C), product line, and functional leaders across the RTN enterprise to develop in-country strategies, plans, and risk mitigation activities that align customer needs and local market understanding with opportunities for RTN’s relevant products and services in country.
  2. Own and operate the assigned R&C pipeline.
  3. Prepare artefacts in support of Gate reviews (Gates 1 thru 4).
  4. Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, key partners, and suppliers, both locally and internationally, as necessary by the needs of the opportunity/pursuit.
  5. Maintain clear communication lines with all stakeholders, including routine updates/status at business development meetings/collaborations.
  6. The CAM is responsible as the primary point of contact for customer engagement and shaping efforts.
  7. The position is located in the United Arab Emirates and will be a member of the REL Requirements & Capabilities team.
  8. Develop and maintain customer contact and engagement plans to establish a one Raytheon approach to managing the customer relationship.
Qualifications & Experiences:
  1. A University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Business Development or Defense Sales.
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (intermediate level or above).
  3. Experience in new business creation and business captures in the UAE environment.
  4. Skills in pipeline generation, integrated solutions, and cross-selling strategies.
  5. Established relationships and a network with Saudi customers and partners.
  6. Ability to leverage customer knowledge to identify growth opportunities in UAE.
  7. Understanding of UAE customer culture, political and military environment, and regional customs and norms.
  8. Knowledge of UAE procurement, fiscal, and regulatory environment.
  9. Broad understanding of Raytheon’s solutions portfolio, technologies, and services.
  10. Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and basic English.
  11. Experience managing projects within the defense industry.
  12. Experience in solution and proposal development.
  13. Knowledge of US export control processes and regulations.
  14. Ability to drive priorities, enhance performance, and solve moderately complex problems.
  15. Demonstrated project management competence.
  16. Ability to support business proposals, including tenders.
  17. Strong communication skills for cross-program coordination.
  18. Ability to manage moderately complex pursuits in a multidisciplinary environment.
  19. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  20. Capability to develop and manage cooperative relationships.
