We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Customer Account Handler in our GAC Fujairah Office.

Job Description

The main purpose of the job is to ensure services are coordinated as per customers’ requirements. The job exists to ensure all job details are coordinated/followed up and payments are received within set timelines. The job contributes to ensure customer satisfaction and remuneration for the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create checklists, open job files and review communications
  • Close job files promptly and follow up receipt of third-party invoices to ensure prompt billing
  • Follow up payments to ensure settlement within the agreed period

Job requirements

  • Requirements
    • Graduate, university degree preferably with a technical background
    • Preferably, hold a UAE Driving License
    • Knowledge of shipping industry (types of ships, etc.) and a pro-active “can do” approach is crucial
    • Excellent English communication skills and knowledge of sub-Asian Languages
    • Proficient in Office and communication applications / software
    • Minimum 1 year experience as a Customer Service Officer in shipping/port operations
