Custody Operations Manager

Charterhouse are working with a notable Sovereign Wealth Fund based in Abu Dhabi, who are looking to add a Senior Custody Operations professional to their current middle office structure. The role is designated at Manager grade and will report directly in to the Head of Custody with a dotted line to the COO. The Manager will take on full responsibility of the oversight of the team and direct reporting lines from team leaders. This role will focus heavily on strategy and change management across the middle office, working closely with other senior leadership.

The Custody Team cover the full trade life cycle and typical duties include:

1. Onboarding of new accounts
2. Investment administration
3. Trade settlements
4. Creation of capital calls
5. Other middle office activities

The Custody Operations Manager will oversee the work of the unit and monitor the performance and deliverables, and be heavily responsible for maintaining custody relationships.

The successful candidate will have 12+ years’ experience within Custody Operations and at least 5+ years’ experience of Management. The ideal candidate will come from tier one custodian banks or fund administrators. Having previously managed large-scale teams within Custodian and/or Operation functions would be extremely beneficial for this role.
