Job description

Role purpose
Manages small to large scale Campaigns (destination and culture) led by the marketing and strategic communication sector, contributing to the department marketing and promotion programs and initiatives to achieve desired marketing results and outputs, directing the department to identify and manage relationships with stakeholders both internal and external and ensuring KPIs set are met.

Key responsibilities

  1. Managing local marketing campaigns for tourist destinations and experiences.
  2. Leading and supervising the development and implementation of marketing campaigns in various local markets according to specific plans, goals, schedules and budgets with the aim of enabling access to the largest possible number of target groups.
  3. Monitoring and supervising campaigns through various means on an ongoing basis in cooperation with the concerned external institutions to ensure that the content of local marketing campaigns is consistent with the specified objectives and required standards.
  4. Managing and consolidating relationships with relevant external companies and sector teams to ensure that marketing needs and objectives are identified and understood to ensure the implementation of local marketing products and campaigns that serve the desired results.
  5. Directing the team, supervising the clarification of the scope of work required from the required stakeholders, supervising the coordination of operational tasks, and monitoring all outputs to ensure compliance with specific brief requirements and needs.
  6. Directing the team to research and review market developments and best practices, and review proposals and research results to improve overall performance.
  7. Leading and supervising the implementation of all marketing campaigns within the Sector Marketing Culture Section remit, providing recommendations and solutions on potential problems or any other issues to ensure that all campaigns and activities are implemented according to set timelines, allocated budgets and processes.
  8. Supervising the analysis of the results of local marketing campaigns and leading the measurement of their effectiveness in promoting the department's initiatives and in achieving the expected promotion results.
  9. Reviewing and reporting on marketing campaign initiatives and efforts, directing the team to ensure that all relevant documents and reports are maintained and updated as required.
  10. Managing the budgets allocated to planning and implementing marketing campaigns and reviewing any developments and reports on them.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience
Minimum 6-8 years experience in marketing or similar position or sector.

Skills
• Language: Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic is a plus
• High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Office, and Excel)
• Ability to direct subordinate employees
• Advanced skills in management and dealing with people
• Excellent management skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Destination and/or culture marketing experience a plus
