Job Description: Assistant Operator
The Assistant Operator shall provide assistance to operations as instructed by the Operator and Field Supervisor in carrying out all necessary tasks, including but not limited to:
- Ensuring that the Company policies and procedures in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality are implemented.
- Assisting the Operator in checking equipment for damages that might have occurred during transit.
- Rigging up/down all equipment as instructed by the Operator/Supervisor.
- Assisting the Operator/Senior Operator in performing daily maintenance as prescribed in the maintenance manual and recording the activities in the maintenance file.
- Maintaining good and healthy relations among all superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of tools, equipment, and machines as per the instructions of the Operator/Supervisor.
- Ensuring compliance with the work and leave schedules both on base and during field operations.
- Communicating with the Company representative, establishing immediate priorities, and implementing procedures to carry out the job safely.
- Ensuring that all expendables, materials, and supplies are used efficiently, kept in a secure and locked place, and not wasted.
Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in the English language
- Intermediate computer skills
- Basic skills in equipment maintenance
- Basic mathematical skills
- Knowledge of basic Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality systems
- Basic report writing skills
