Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a CT professional responsible for performing CT exams for patients of all ages while maintaining patient safety. The role involves leading shift coverage, training teams, and driving performance improvements in the radiology department.

The candidate will provide advanced technical guidance, supervise the CT section, and ensure accurate records and data reporting to support management decisions. English proficiency is required; Arabic is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography or graduation from an accredited diploma program (minimum 3-year curriculum) is required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiography program (minimum 2 years) with registration with ARDMS/CAMRT/UK HPC or equivalent is required.
  • Master’s degree in Medical Imaging or related field is preferred (reduces required years of experience).
  • Didactic courses in CT are preferred.

  • Supports performance improvement, efficiency, productivity, and patient experience initiatives.

Job description

This position is responsible for performing CT exams and procedures on patients of all ages and maintaining patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages shift assignments and coverage for their modality
  • Leads educational and training programs for employees regarding equipment usage, new protocols, patient safety, and career development
  • Leads programs for performance improvement, efficiency and productivity, employee engagement and patient experience
  • Provides an advanced consultative technical resource and assists the manager in the supervision and technical development of the assigned radiology section
  • Assists the diagnostics supervisor with the maintenance of all required section records and the provision of any statistical data that might be required in support of management activities
  • Checks and prepares patient prior to CT study
  • Acquires patient chart data/requisition and reviews to ascertain correct room set-up and learn of any specific medical problems that need to be addressed
  • Collects films and archives digital data/images for physicians and radiologists to review and dictate
  • Performs all necessary record tracking functions on hard copy films and files appropriately
  • Monitors equipment systems, cleans equipment and makes timely repairs
  • Sets up equipment systems in the CT department and reviews to ensure proper working order
  • Observes potential equipment dysfunctions and reports problems to appropriate individuals to ensure operator and patient safety
  • Maintains all aspects of the CT area to ensure proper quality assurance results and maintenance of required documentation
  • Oversees all supply orders for both patient care and department needs
  • Takes responsibility for patient radiation safety by following established guidelines and protocol
  • Provides instruction and mentoring to new hires and radiology students

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography, or graduation from an accredited diploma program (minimum three (3) year curriculum), is required or
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiography program (minimum two (2) years) and registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists, UK HPC, or equivalent, is required.
  • Master’s degree in Medical Imaging or relevant clinical master’s degree in a related field is preferred (will reduce one (1) year from the required years of experience)
  • Didactic courses in C.T. are preferred

Job Specific Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively interact with physicians and radiologists to coordinate proper imaging of patients
  • Ability to function well with minimal or no direct supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required
  • Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
