Job summary

J. Awan & Partners seeks an Associate Director Compliance to lead regulatory compliance and AML programs across Abu Dhabi and the UAE. The role will involve considerable interaction with regulatory authorities, ensuring audit readiness and developing client training initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of industry experience with substantial background in compliance. You will be instrumental in driving compliance framework establishment and participate in expanding the practice across the UAE.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of industry experience with 8+ years in compliance within financial services.
• Experience dealing with UAE regulatory authorities and compliance program implementation.
• CAMS, CISI, or ICA certifications are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance and govern client mandates in the UEA.
• Serve as MLRO and implement AML & CTF controls.
• Drive business development and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
• Provide compliance and AML training for staff and clients.
• Coordinate audits and conduct compliance reviews.
• Maintain compliance activity documentation and ensure audit readiness.
