Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of industry experience in a datacenter or critical environment facility, OR 3+ years of industry experience with college coursework.
Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: Required upon hire/transfer and every two years.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years’ experience in Critical Environment infrastructures (e.g., UPS, Generator, AHU) or IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Racks/Enclosures, structured cabling).
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering or services.
  • Experience working on large-scale Critical Environment projects.
  • Experience with the operation of IT infrastructure (Servers, SANs, Networking, etc.).
Responsibilities
Data Center Operations
  • Ensure compliance with data center policies and SLAs.
  • Coordinate with teams and manage programs within your area.
  • Manage costs and adhere to budgets.
  • Follow safety and security policies, reporting issues promptly.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
Service Delivery
  • Maximize Critical Environment (CE) availability and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Reduce incidents and improve energy efficiency.
  • Support emergency preparedness and compliance audits.
  • Maintain routine reports on power, temperature, humidity, and SLAs.
  • Engage with engineering teams and partners, sharing best practices.
  • Participate in training and suggest process improvements.
  • Contribute positively to team environment and collaboration.
Ownership
  • Hold yourself accountable for service quality and customer experience.
  • Support escalation processes as needed.
