What Does a Credit Analyst Do?
As a Credit Analyst at FAB, you will assess loan proposals, conduct in-depth financial analysis, and ensure all credit assessments align with regulatory and internal standards. Your role will be crucial in maintaining risk integrity and supporting sustainable lending.

What Are the Key Responsibilities?

1. Review, analyze, and prepare credit memos with complete customer financial information
2. Conduct field visits for eligible loan applicants following initial assessment
3. Evaluate audited financials and bank statements to determine creditworthiness
4. Calculate financial ratios including debt service coverage, turnover ratios, and profitability indicators
5. Recommend, structure, and prepare credit proposals in compliance with internal policies
6. Review requests for restructures, deferrals, and waivers in line with risk criteria
7. Ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation to prevent fraud
8. Operate efficiently using internal systems such as OBIEE, Vision Plus, Globus, Intellect, and external checks like AECB and Central Bank
9. Collaborate with other teams to ensure timely and compliant loan processing
10. Maintain records of approved proposals and supporting documentation

What Skills Are Needed for a Credit Analyst in Abu Dhabi?

Education:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Commerce, or a related field

Experience and Technical Competencies:
- Strong background in financial analysis and understanding of lending procedures
- Familiarity with UAE credit bureaus and regulatory compliance standards
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risks
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards
