Your role involves decorating pastries, maintaining freshness through proper storage, and upholding cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen. Collaboration with chefs to develop new items and training junior staff are key parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or relevant position in a bakery or restaurant setting.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Creativity and attention to detail for decorating pastries.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes and other desserts according to recipes or customer requests.
• Decorate and present pastries in an attractive manner.
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored, used and rotated to maintain freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen at all times.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
