Job description

The Creative Manager will lead the visual design efforts within the organization's in-house design team, working closely with the Senior Manager Creative Services to shape and implement the creative vision for DP World and its subsidiary brands. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering impactful and engaging 360˚ campaign ideas with strategic and impactful visual assets across digital, print, videos, and experiential channels. With a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of brand design and user experience, and the ability to lead by example, the Manager Creative will help elevate creativity within DP World and drive excellence across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Translate brand strategy into compelling visual designs and align creative outputs with DP World’s brand standards.
  2. Maintain and uphold DP World’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all visual outputs by setting clear brand guidelines and quality standards.
  3. Develop and evolve brand assets, including templates, iconography, and color schemes, ensuring that the brand remains fresh and relevant.
  4. Oversee the creation and execution of visually cohesive and impactful content for various digital, print, and experiential platforms, including campaigns, presentations, social media, and events.
  5. Provide hands-on support to the design team, ensuring high standards of design quality, creativity, and innovation in every project.
  6. Manage the end-to-end design process, from concept to final execution, ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.
  7. Conduct quality checks and provide feedback on design work to guarantee that every project meets brand standards and aligns with DP World’s visual identity.
  8. Lead and inspire a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to support their growth.
  9. Support the Senior Manager Creative Services & Communications Excellence in developing a positive team environment that prioritizes both productivity and individual career growth.
  10. Stay informed of industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging design techniques to keep DP World’s visual presence current and competitive.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or Visual Arts.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Thorough operational knowledge of Apple Mac systems.
  • Hands-on experience with software such as Figma, Adobe XD or Sketch.
  • 10+ years of advertising agency experience, with at least 5 years in an Art Director (agency) position is a must.
  • Experience leading a team of at least 3 resources.

Technical Competencies

  • Strong conceptual and creative skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas visually and create 360˚ design work that resonates with a global audience.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a strong sense of aesthetic quality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in branding, digital, and print design, with a solid understanding of typography, color theory, and composition.
  • Advanced proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and hands-on experience with UX/UI based software. Basic knowledge of motion graphics and video production software.
