Job summary

Uvation, Inc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Certified Public Accountant to uphold financial integrity, oversee US GAAP/IFRS reporting, and guide audits and tax compliance across entities.

You will lead monthly closes, manage multi-currency transactions, mentor junior staff, and partner with FP&A, operations and legal to drive strategic planning and cost controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in accounting/finance or related field; master’s preferred.
• CPA certification highly preferred and UAE national candidate sought.
• 10+ years' accounting experience with senior or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyze financial statements per US GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, year-end closings including reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and audit submissions.
• Manage tax compliance across federal, state and local filings.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting and cash flow monitoring.
• Identify risks, suggest cost-saving improvements and controls.
• Support internal controls, accounting policies, FP&A collaboration.
• Handle multi-entity and multi-currency transactions where applicable.
• Mentor junior staff and uphold best practices.

Job Overview :

As a Certified Public Accountant - Senior at Uvation, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and driving transparency across our operations. You’ll be responsible for core financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and contributing to strategic financial planning. Collaborating across Uvation Entities, you’ll help support Uvation’s rapid growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support and coordinate internal and external audits; serve as point of contact for auditors and ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Manage tax compliance activities including federal, state, and local filings; support preparation of necessary documentation for tax filings.
• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Identify financial risks and inefficiencies; recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, legal, and leadership to provide financial insight and support business initiatives.
• Handle multi-entity and multi-currency transactions (as applicable).
• Mentor and review the work of junior accounting staff and ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• We are looking for an Emirati/UAE National candidate for this position.
  
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 8 years in a senior or supervisory capacity.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g. MS Dynamics & Netsuite ) strong MS Excel skills required.
• Familiarity with tools for budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and audit support.
• Comfortable working with international and multi-currency accounting processes.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
