Our client is a Global logistics provider specializing in air freight and ocean freight services. With a strong presence in APAC and a commitment to excellence, Thanks to the exponential growth and success they have had they are now growing their presence in UAE and seeking a dynamic and results-driven Country Head & Commercial Lead to drive growth in the region.

Position Overview:

As the Country Head & Commercial Lead, you will be responsible for leading sales hunting efforts, developing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth in the logistics sector. As well as this you will also be leading the operational teams for both Ocean Freight and Air Freight services. This role requires a deep understanding of both air freight and ocean freight, strong import and export capabilities, and the ability to build and nurture client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Hunting: Proactively identify and target potential clients in the logistics and shipping industry, including importers, exporters, and logistics managers.
2. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, industry trends, and customer needs in the UAE's logistics and freight market.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored logistics solutions.
4. New Business Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to acquire new customers and expand the company's footprint in the UAE, focusing on both air and ocean freight services.
5. Import and Export Expertise: Utilize your strong knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade to guide clients through the logistics process.
6. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and favorable outcomes.
7. Sales Team Leadership: Build, lead and mentor a sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to achieve sales targets and objectives.
8. Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals for the Germany market.
9. Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, keeping them informed of progress and market developments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven track record of successful business development and sales hunting in the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of air freight and ocean freight operations, import/export regulations, and international trade practices.
• Strong knowledge of the region
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a sales team.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, rapidly changing business environment.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
