Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Manager to join our dynamic team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in costing for FPS & PHE. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate cost estimation and budget management for our construction projects, driving efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze project specifications and drawings to establish clear and accurate cost breakdowns.
  2. Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and ensure cost estimates align with technical specifications.
  3. Prepare and maintain pricing databases, cost models, and historical cost data to support accurate estimating.
  4. Review subcontractor quotes and negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing on all components of construction projects.
  5. Monitor and manage project costs against budgets throughout the lifecycle of the project, identifying and reporting variances.
  6. Assist in the development of project budgets and financial forecasts to aid strategic planning and decision making.
  7. Conduct regular cost audits and prepare reports for management, highlighting trends, challenges, and opportunities for cost savings.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Bachelor of Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  2. Experience: 9 to 12 years.
  3. Hands-on experience with cost estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  4. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  6. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
