Overview

The Opportunity

In this role, you will:

• Support the settlement of construction disputes, loss, and expense claims with transparency.
• Resolve commercial issues, change orders, and contract matters efficiently and fairly.
• Assist in preparing and agreeing on final accounts, including handling claims to ensure the client receives the best value from the works undertaken.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Support agile project management and facilitate clear decision-making through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
• Participate actively in the tender/bid process, from initial documentation to analysis and reporting.
• Oversee project expenditure by creating valuations and cost reports, and communicate variations clearly to your team.

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have experience as a cost manager, preferably from a consultancy background, with cost planning expertise, capable of working independently. Ideally, a minimum of 5 years of experience, with UAE experience considered an advantage.
• Possess either MEP or CSA skillsets; candidates from both backgrounds are welcome to apply.
• Have experience in pre-contract services, from feasibility through tendering, including measurement of building works for estimating, report writing, and preparation of Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and managing procurement processes.
• Are experienced in interfacing with clients, contractors, and other consultants at all project stages.
• Hold a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline.
• Are chartered or on the path to becoming chartered, preferably as an AssocRICS member.
• Have good knowledge of construction industry technical matters; knowledge of CostX is preferred.
• Are an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• Enjoy a dynamic environment with opportunities to manage priorities and deadlines independently.
