Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Quantity surveying or commercial management background relevant to project cost management.
• Basic understanding of cost planning, cost reporting, and lifecycle costing.
• Ability to support cost modelling and scenario analysis.
• Awareness of benchmarking, risk management, value management, value engineering, and project appraisal concepts.
• Understanding of financial, procurement, and contract processes.
• General awareness of relevant legal and regulatory considerations.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Delivery-focused approach with high ethical standards and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Support Delivery Teams on commercial matters throughout assigned projects.
• Assist with cost planning, cost reporting, and commercial controls.
• Support preparation and maintenance of project control documents.
• Assist with change management and assessment of cost implications.
• Contribute cost-related information to project planning and decision-making.
• Support cost modelling and scenario analysis when required.
• Assist with cash flow analysis and preparation of cost projections.
• Contribute to commercial close-out and final account activities.
• Work with senior management and Project Managers to support project development.
• Contribute to delivery strategies covering design and construction.
• Support operations and maintenance considerations where these form part of the project scope.
• Provide commercial information required by Senior Commercial Managers and project stakeholders.
• Help maintain alignment between commercial activities and wider project objectives.
• Support procurement processes for consultants and contractors.
• Assist with sourcing activities and preparation of procurement documentation.
• Participate in tender evaluation activities.
• Help prepare contract documentation following procurement decisions.
• Apply commercial and procurement awareness when supporting project delivery.
• Coordinate relevant procurement information with project stakeholders.
• Support contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist with payment processes and commercial assessments.
• Support claims management activities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of contract strategies.
• Assist with contract close-out and final account closure.
• Maintain appropriate awareness of financial, contractual, legal, and regulatory considerations.
• Assist with preparation of monthly commercial reports.
• Support reporting on project commercial status to senior project stakeholders and Development Managers.
• Contribute to benchmarking and cost management best practices.
• Support project risk management and commercial audits.
• Apply awareness of value management and value engineering principles.
• Contribute to project appraisal activities where cost management input is required.
• Assist in managing and coordinating appointed cost consultants.
