Job summary

All Inclusive Collection Properties in Ras al-Khaimah is seeking a Cost Controller to manage the hotel’s cost structure, monitor departmental expenses, and support profitability across the business.

You will collaborate with food and beverage, housekeeping and maintenance to prepare budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and implement standard costing and cost-control procedures across operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of cost control, accounting, or finance experience in hospitality.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) and hotel systems (Opera/Micros).
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze financial data.
  • Ability to perform variance analyses and provide actionable cost insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
  • Commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze and control costs across departments to ensure budget adherence.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting; track variances to meet financial targets.
  • Prepare cost reports, P&L statements, and variance analyses for management.
  • Oversee inventory control and proper recording of goods received and used.
  • Establish and maintain standard costs for materials and services.
  • Support supplier negotiations for cost-effective procurement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, ISO standards, and legal requirements.

Position Summary

All Inclusive Collection Properties is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Controller to manage and monitor the hotel s cost structure ensuring effective cost control and maximizing profitability The Cost Controller will oversee the financial analysis of departmental expenses establish and track cost standards and ensure that spending aligns with the hotel s financial goals This role will work closely with various departments to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improving operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Monitoring Monitor analyze and control costs across all departments including food and beverage housekeeping and maintenance to ensure budget adherence
  • Budgeting amp Forecasting Assist in the preparation of departmental budgets and forecasts Monitor actual performance against the budget and analyze variances to ensure financial targets are met
  • Cost Reporting Prepare and present detailed cost reports including profit and loss statements cost analysis and variance reports to senior management
  • Inventory Management Oversee inventory control including conducting regular physical counts of inventory and ensure accurate recording of goods received and used
  • Standard Costing Establish and maintain standard costs for materials supplies and services Ensure that all cost standards are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Supplier Negotiations Assist in negotiating with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services
  • Cost Analysis Analyze cost trends identify areas of inefficiency and make recommendations for cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or guest satisfaction
  • Internal Controls Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and establish internal controls to prevent fraud waste and inefficiency in cost-related activities
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration Work closely with department heads to assess and optimize cost efficiency across operations including food and beverage housekeeping and other operational areas
  • Training amp Support Provide training and support to department managers on cost control procedures and cost-conscious decision-making
Qualifications amp Skills
  • Educational Background Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control accounting or finance preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Technical Skills Proficiency in accounting software e g Microsoft Dynamics SAP hotel management systems such as Opera or Micros and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
  • Attention to Detail Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Analytical Skills Ability to interpret financial data perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency
