Job Description

• Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify variances and recommend corrective actions, ensuring projects stay within budget.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost control reports, providing insights and forecasts to project management on financial performance.
• Collaborate with project managers to establish baselines for budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Monitor and control expenditures, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets during the project planning phase, leveraging historical data and market trends.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities within project financials, advising stakeholders on mitigation strategies.
• Support the financial closing processes by providing accurate and timely data to finance teams for reporting purposes.
• Engage with suppliers and contractors to track costs, negotiate pricing, and ensure value for money on all project-related purchases.
• Utilize advanced software tools to automate cost tracking processes, improving efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
• Deliver presentations and reports to senior management, communicating complex financial information in an understandable manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control within the construction or engineering sectors.
