Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Leader to head the Cost Consultancy Department, delivering cost planning, tendering, procurement, and final accounts across high-profile projects. You will drive quality, develop the team, and maintain robust benchmarking and market intelligence.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in QS/CE/CM or related field, MRICS/AIQS preferred, and 15+ years in cost consultancy or commercial management, with a track record of client leadership and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• MRICS or AIQS accreditation is preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years’ experience in cost consultancy, quantity surveying, or commercial management, including senior leadership.
• Strong expertise in cost planning, estimating, tendering, procurement, cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Proven experience in team leadership, client management and project risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Cost Consultancy Department, including team performance, resources, procedures and quality.
• Oversee pre and post contract cost consultancy services including cost planning, estimating, tendering, procurement, cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Manage relationships with high-profile clients, developers, investors and key stakeholders.
• Provide senior-level commercial and contractual advice and identify project risks and opportunities.
• Review and oversee cost plans, tender evaluations, commercial reports, forecasts and final accounts.
• Develop and maintain a robust cost database and benchmarking system covering historical projects, market rates, tender returns and construction costs.
• Use market intelligence and benchmarking to improve cost planning, forecasting and commercial decision-making.
• Support business development, proposals, client presentations and growth of the Cost Consultancy service.
• Mentor and develop the team while establishing strong technical and commercial standards.
