1. Risk Identification & Assessment
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Risk Register for all ongoing projects and corporate functions.
- Identify key risks related to cost overruns, schedule delays, safety incidents, environmental impacts, and contractual obligations.
- Conduct risk analysis (qualitative and quantitative) to evaluate probability, impact, and mitigation priorities.
- Perform site risk reviews and coordinate with project managers and engineers to identify field-level operational risks.
2. Risk Mitigation & Monitoring
- Establish mitigation plans and assign accountability for critical risks.
- Continuously monitor, track, and report risk exposure across projects and business units.
- Conduct regular risk review meetings and update the management dashboard.
- Evaluate effectiveness of controls and recommend process improvements to reduce exposure
3. Financial & Contractual Risk
- Work with the contracts and procurement teams to identify risks in vendor agreements, contractor liabilities, and insurance provisions.
- Support due diligence on land acquisitions, joint ventures, and third-party partnerships to identify financial and regulatory risks.
- Assess risk impact on project budgets, cost forecasting, and cash flow.
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory obligations, and safety standards.
- Support internal and external audit activities related to project and operational risk.
- Maintain compliance with UAE regulations, environmental laws, and construction codes.
5. Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and present periodic risk reports to senior management, highlighting trends, emerging risks, and key mitigation actions.
- Use data analytics and visualization tools to forecast potential risk hotspots.
- Prepare executive-level summaries for Board and Project Steering Committee meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or Risk Management (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in risk management within real estate development, construction projects.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycle, cost control, scheduling, safety, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and ISO 31000 standards preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, Primavera Risk, or similar tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
